Rowan County Arts Center invites youth artists and writers to share their personal perspectives on what America means to them in celebration of America250KY.

Personal Experiences

Open to youth artists and writers in grades K-12.

Schools, homeschool groups, and individual students welcome.

2D, 3D and digital (video) works accepted.

Literary works are also accepted.
-
Submissions close May 1.
-
Art must be dropped off by May 15.
-
The exhibition will run from June 1 through July 31.

Closing reception to be announced.

ARTWORK LIMITS

Students may submit up to 3 pieces.
-
Submission does not guarantee acceptance of artwork.
HOW TO SUBMIT
CLASSROOM

If this is part of a class project, submit artwork through your teacher.
INDIVIDUAL

Pick up a submission form (or download one below) and deliver artwork in person to:

2D ARTWORK

Accepted framed, matted, or unframed/unmatted.
3D ARTWORK

Must be stable and able to stand on its own.
DIGITAL ARTWORK

Must be submitted in person on a USB drive or device and ready to present or play.
LITERARY SUBMISSIONS
-
Poetry and short written works may be submitted.
-
Literary submissions should be no longer than 3 pages.

Must relate to the exhibition theme: What Does America Mean to Me?

Submit printed or digital copies with student name and title.
